Hi all! My name is Jenna Whelan, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. I graduated with a dual Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology/Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina and received my Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Tennessee.

During my clinical training, I worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings, including a therapeutic preschool, outpatient counseling, school-based services, and a children’s crisis stabilization unit. I especially enjoy working with individuals and finding ways to meet them where they are while supporting them through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and other challenges.

Growing up in North Carolina, I am passionate about bringing quality mental health services to my community, especially to children and adolescents who may not always feel understood. I believe counseling should be a space where you can show up as yourself and have someone alongside you as you work through whatever life brings. My hope is to help clients feel more confident in their own voice, recognize their strengths, and know that they do not have to navigate things alone.
